Our Cacao Ceremony is a beautiful opportunity to connect with yourself on a deeper level and with those sharing the ceremony journey along side you. An opportunity to set new intentions and call in your heart's desire. The cacao offers great insights, creativity and inspiration. It is also well known for its heart opening properties, mood-boosting effects and is packed full of vitamins & minerals. (Please scroll down to bottom for contraindications. Taking Cacao is always optional depending on whether it feels right for you.)
The guided shamanic drumming meditation works really well after the cacao ceremony, as you will already feel relaxed and connected with yourself. You will enjoy a relaxing guided journey to a different realm, where the ascended beings will be by your side, helping you to to reunite to a power that you may have once had or bring in a new vibrational power that you need to at this time in your life. Anything can happen!
The session is held either in the Woodland cabin or outdoors around the fire, if the weather permits. You will be notified in the joining instructions.

Contraindications of cacao (please note one cup of cacao we serve is considered a small dose)
- if you are on antidepressants, SSRIs or other medication, have a heart condition or are pregnant: Be aware that the theobromine in cacao is a vasodilator: it increases the heart rate and lowers blood pressure, so you may be better off with a smaller dose
- If you are on MAOI antidepressants, cacao (& all forms of chocolate) is contraindicated because it contains tyramine.
- if you are taking 5-htp (5-Hydroxytryptophan) it's advisable to have a smaller dose of cacao.
- If you are taking St John's Wort, please refrain from taking it for a few days before.
- If you are epileptic a high consumption of cacao could possibly increase the risk of seizures.
- If you take antipsychotic medication, consuming ceremonial cacao in this way is also contraindicated.
- if you have low blood pressure, be aware that although cacao is a stimulant, it lowers blood pressure. Depending on your condition, a smaller dose might be appropriate.
- some people are allergic or sensitive to theobromine - it can trigger headaches or migraines in some people. In some cases, a smaller dose will be fine depending on how sensitive you are.
