Yesterday morning I woke up after having a dream about croissants, and the first thing that came to my mind was write a blog about dreams. Are you similar to me? Can you remember your dreams when you wake up? Most times I remember them vividly, especially those that are very 'realistic'. I also get a strong inkling of what they are about. I have done some research and looked into them more with experts. I wanted to share some of my dream interpretations which you may also relate to. Perhaps having some insight will bring you some resolutions in your current life. Without going into each dream too deeply, here are a list of themes and brief interpretations. Travelling Travelling on a bus, train or airplane. This implies that you are going through some big changes, personally and physically. Create clear end goals and add achievable steps to reach the end goal. Suffocation A feeling of not being able to breathe. Someone sitting over you strangling you. This can be interpreted as a psychic attack. Do an empowering protection meditation to bring in love and light. Bring some fun into your life, laugh more! When you do this you raise your vibrations and gain strength. Food (Croissant!) Feeling hungry! Eat a nutritional breakfast when you wake up! Pregnant or holding a baby You have a new project brewing. Something you are holding closely to your chest. Maybe it's a secret or just an initial thought. Write down your project ideas, talk to those you trust and bring them into your reality. Feet stuck in mud as you try and walk somewhere It may be that you are being held back by someone or yourself in reaching your goals. Do a breathing relaxing meditation, connect with your guide(s) and ask the question, show me how I can gain clarity in relation to 'the subject in question'. Create a list of achievable steps that will lead you to your end goal. Leeches Someone is draining your energy. Do a meditation that helps you to cut cords (attachments) to unhelpful people and harmful situations then follow up with a protection-type meditation. Empty house Wandering around an empty house. You are searching to find something within yourself, something you need to tap into. Follow a meditation that takes you on a journey to meet your spirit guide or a power animal, then ask them to help you. Ask clear open questions. Aliens External psychic attacks. Follow protection based meditations, ask Archangel Michael for protection. Imagine you have metal walls around you that reflect anything being sent to you back to the sender. Ex-partners Unresolved past life issues or finding yourself in a repetitive situation repeating a behaviour. Sometimes registering what is happening in your life will help to clear issues. Otherwise, do a past life regression meditation, or again a cutting of cords exercise. Falling dreams You are being given a deeper message in your dream which you find hard to take in or understand. Lack of trust in yourself. Fear of letting go. As this may relate to low self-belief or lack of self-esteem, working on building yourself up is key. Accept who you are. Affirmations are strong and powerful, so create some personal affirmations and repeat them over and over again. Create a morning ritual, which begins with a lovely breathing exercise, connect to the universe, connect to mother earth and invite in your power animal(s). Sit in this space and ask questions, see what comes up. Flying Reaching out, no limitations, astral travel. When having flying dreams, there does need to be an aspect of control. When you go to bed, you need to ensure you get enough rest and are able to recharge your battery. If you are astral travelling, you may not be getting enough rest and will wake up feeling tired. Just knowing this may help bring you back into your body so you get the proper sleep you need. Seek expert advice if you wish to pursue astral travel. Being chased Running away from issues and fears, not facing them. This can relate to anxiety. This dream may mean that you need to clear some past life fears and phobias. It could also mean that you need to be in your own power. Pretending to be dead This dream could relate to you requiring a little time to yourself, wanting to escape. Try and get some time out, a walk in nature, a nice long bath, a meditation. I also wanted to share what I recently discovered.
If my bedroom door is shut at night, I end up having vivid nightmares, a deep feeling of panic that something threatening is in the bedroom. If the door is left open overnight, I am absolutely fine. Incidentally, I mentioned this occurrence to some friends and they confirmed they also had similar experiences. Here is an interpretation which resonates with me. If you leave the door open, it shows you have no fear, you don't need to shut yourself away and hide from anyone or anything. If you shut the door at night, you are metaphorically saying I have fear and I need to hide from somethings. I do hope you find this blog useful. Remember these interpretations are very general.
